This clearly states we’ll have a romantic track stuffed in 114 minutes … this really pisses me off. WHY DO WE NEED A ROMANTIC TRACK IN A SUPERHERO MOVIE WITH TWO GREAT VILLIANS?? I feel nothing for jane foster. NOTHING!!!

Yeeeaaaahhh, I really don’t care about Jane Foster.  As much as I’m in love with Natalie Portman, I just don’t feel anything for her character.  I’d much rather explore the brother dynamic, it’s a much more interesting and compelling topic.  Meh, guess I’ll just see how this plays out. Not gonna get too worked up yet.

one of my close friends is a big comic buff, and she said jane foster’s background and character are a lot more interesting in the comics than that little role in the Thor movie. on the one hand, i’m looking forward to them giving her another crack with a new movie, perhaps they can bring her into her own. on the other, if they’re just gonna tack her on as a love interest then they’re really just hurting their own movie with some romantic sideplot. i guess we wait and see.

edited to add: i want to like jane foster the way i like pepper potts—completely effortlessly because she’s so genuine.
