i’ve never done anything crazy with my hair.

i’d really love to dye it all sorts of crazy colors.

now that i’m soon to be entering “real adult world” i’m starting to regret that i haven’t. any time i’ve brought up the idea of dying or bleaching my hair, i’ve been met with all sorts of different variations of “ew, no, why would you do that?” from my mom. which is silly because i’m an adult, right?

but on top of that, i have a really particular hair type. my hair is super fine, and i don’t seem to have much of it compared to other people. i’ve seen some people who dye and bleach their hair constantly and it doesn’t seem to affect their hair’s structural integrity…but others who seem to have a hair type more like mine who do that often end up with straw-like hair.

also, i don’t even know how i would start with this. i mean, i never go to salons or anything and i know next to nothing about hair care apart from like…washing it?

am i doomed to never do anything fun with my hair?

  1. rinaldthefox answered: I have fine, bleached hair. If you decide to bleach, I’d suggest only shampooing every few days. That should keep it from drying out.
  2. asthetides answered: Bleach your tips and then dye them a fun color :) I did and I love it!
  3. savethewales answered: If you want it a light colour, get it bleached professionally, then put the colour in yourself. Get semipermanent colour, its easy!
  4. sherlala answered: Nope! I too had been a hair virgin. Average mousy hair. Boring. Then I chopped it off one night in the dark.
  5. dilophosaurus answered: i highly suggest going to a professional salon and getting it done and check out reviews etc, i’ve dyed my hair lots and its less damaging
  6. oxymoronicromantic answered: If your hair is lighter, I hear henna is a super conditioning dye.
  7. thesanityclause answered: NO! You can totally have fun with your hair! Wait just a sec, lemme get this link on how to safely bleach and color your hair for you
  8. theavengersbrokethephonebox answered: Just go for it. It’s never too late
  9. comevisitwonderland answered: Buy a $10 hair wash from a Pharmacy and dye your hair a natural color close to your’s and see how your hair holds up

  11. suleskerry said: shampoo and conditioner for dyed hair, because it’s gentler and more moisturizing.
  12. suleskerry answered: My hair is fairly fine, although not super duper so, and I didn’t have an issue with dying it. As far as care, I would recommend buying…
