These are just some samples of the fabric we’ve bought so far for the group.Captain America - Crystina/Harl. The white looks kinda creme in the photo, but its white. Because of the big blue skirt we opted for that fabric to have blue sparklies on it.
Iron Man - Amy/Rex-Dart. Because of the design and the tight fit we decided to go with this lovely backed satin. We also went with colors they used more in the movie rather than the comic. So a more burgundy red and less saturated gold.
Hulk - Me/Avianna. I found some kinda desaturated olive fur that was swirly for a good price, so the shawl will be swirly. I wanted it to be fur because the dress looks so 40s starlit and they were big into fur back then. The ruffles in the skirt -cause there is just so many- is gonna be tulle and I’m hoping to put some awesome bias tape on it. I bought three different colors of tulle and they will fade to black as they go down.
Thor - Suzi/Remie. OMG! I saw this in a stack of fabric and we needed it. Then it ended up being just $2 a yard! $2!!!?! It gonna be so pretty as a slanky evening dress! YAY!For Dragon*Con we do not have a Black Widow yet, however, we do have a friend that wants to join our group later on. We have someone who wants to be Hawkeye, but we have to help out with that one, so its not for sure yet until we know we can finish ours ;)
ohmygod. i just found this…i’m so crazy excited! just seeing fabric choices together like this and i’m speechless.
